Seven time Olivier Award-nominated musical Kinky Boots continues its week of exciting news with the announcement the London hit show will release a cast recording this spring.
The cast, including Olivier Award nominees Killian Donnelly, Matt Henry and Amy Lennox, recorded the album live at the Adelphi Theatre. Kinky Boots fans will be able to pre-order the recording from 11 March before it’s released on 1 April.
The album will feature all the songs by fellow nominee and pop superstar Cyndi Lauper including Sex Is In The Heel, Not My Father’s Son and Land Of Lola.
Broadway import Kinky Boots has had an amazing first year in the West End following its London premiere at the Adelphi Theatre last August. As well as its seven nominations at the Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard, the show also picked up the Evening Standard BBC Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical earlier this year.
Inspired by a true story, it tells of two very different men who come together over an unlikely love of shoes to save a flagging family business, the Tony Award-winning hit is a heart-warming tale of friendship, love and the will to survive.
The show will continue to strut its fabulous stuff at the Adelphi Theatre to 24 September.
