Hit musical Kinky Boots extends in London

Published 29 January 2016

Fabulous high-heeled musical theatre hit Kinky Boots has proved a sparkling, sassy success with London’s theatre lovers, and is extending its run at the Adelphi Theatre to 24 September 2016.

The extension adds four months to the run of the musical that had been booking to 28 May. Tickets for the new booking period go on sale on Monday 1 February.

The Tony Award-winning musical, which opened in the West End in August 2015, tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits a failing gentleman’s shoe factory. Lost for ideas about how to save it inspiration strikes when he meets drag diva Lola in need of sturdy stilettos. But how will such fabulousness go down in a small industrial community?

Directed by Legally Blonde The Musical’s Jerry Mitchell and with a score by 80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper, Kinky Boots stars 2014 Olivier Award nominee Killian Donnelly as Charlie Price with former The Voice contestant Matt Henry as Lola.
