We are committed to opening our theatres safely. Look for our See It Safely mark to know a theatre is Covid-19 secure. Find out more.

Who we are

London: Home of the best theatre scene in the world. Whether you’re looking to visit one show in the capital this year or have a whole spreadsheet of London shows to see, Official London Theatre is where to book your tickets.

Why? Because you’ll be paying it forward booking theatre tickets with us. Run by Society Of London theatre, we have been not-for-profit since 1908. We work directly with theatre owners and producers to support our industry and our audiences.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been lobbying the Government, supporting our members and audiences, and finding ways to support theatre professionals struggling as a result of this crisis. We have set up the Theatre Artists Fund spearheaded by Sam Mendes to offer emergency grants to those talented freelancers in our industry who have not been able to access any government support during the pandemic.

We’ve worked across the sector to create our See it Safely mark, so audiences can feel confident that the theatre they are visiting is complying with the latest government safety recommendations and guidelines. We will be celebrating theatres as they open and our wonderful audiences who support them with our #BackOnStage campaign, so please do share your experience with us and continue to support our theatres in whatever way you can.

We believe theatre should be accessible for everyone, and we’re committed to making it happen. Because you decided to treat yourself to a show, you’ll be helping us to:

  • Engage with children who have never been to the theatre.
  • Inspire a young person to consider a career in theatre.
  • Enable deaf and disabled people to attend the theatre
  • Encourage more people to go to the theatre through our campaigns including Kids Week and New Year Sale and Events such as the Olivier Awards and West End Live plus initiatives such as our TKTS on the day sales and Theatre Tokens scheme.
