More Wax for Menier

Published 28 February 2011

Comedienne Ruby Wax will get another chance to lose it on stage when her new show returns to the Menier Chocolate Factory – where it is currently running – for a further five weeks from 17 May.

Ruby Wax – Losing It, which opened at the London Bridge venue on 15 February, sees Wax explore the ups and downs of mental illness, which both she and her collaborator Judith Owen have suffered from. Against a soundtrack of poignant and funny songs by Owen, Wax takes an acerbic and honest look at the stigmas and freedoms that come with sharing the darkest moments of your life.

Directed by award-winning West End director Thea Sharrock – who is nominated for a 2011 Olivier Award – Losing It is currently running to 19 March. It returns to the Menier Chocolate Factory following Jack Rosenthal’s Smash!, which plays from 24 March to 8 May, and will run to 19 June.
