A selection of restaurants satiate guests’ every gastronomic desire, including The English Grill serving refined British cuisine, The Curry Room for authentic Indian food enjoyed in sumptuous surroundings, and The Palace Lounge for classic afternoon tea overlooking the Royal Mews. The New York Bar – with its striking red interior – provides a unique setting to hear live music whilst sipping a modern hand-crafted cocktail, or simply enjoy a post-dinner nightcap.

The English Grill

Truly refined and stylish, The English Grill is set in opulently designed surroundings, serving the finest English produce from suppliers that serve the Royal households. Murano chandeliers and a live-action kitchen make for a truly unique experience.  

The Pre-Theatre Dining menu offers signature classics, including steaks, plant-based dishes, desserts, and dishes from our Founder and President, Mrs Beatrice Tollman. All meats are grilled to perfection in our charcoal fired Josper Grill. Peruse the menu of delightful light bites, main courses, and desserts and make your evening one to remember.  

Available between 5.30pm to 7pm, 2 Courses for £49 / 3 Courses for £55

Afternoon Tea in The Palace Lounge

Savour the Royal Afternoon Tea at the Rubens at The Palace, a delectable assortment of freshly baked scones and delicate finger sandwiches. The delicate pastries include a signature Crown, made with alpaco dark chocolate mousse, grapefruit confit, & chocolate brownie.  

Available daily with last sitting at 5pm (6pm on Saturdays), from £70 per person

The New York Bar

Renowned for its striking red décor, original artwork, and friendly ambiance, The New York Bar at The Rubens blends traditional hospitality with innovative cocktails, gin-tasting experiences, and live music. The bar menu – filled with a variety of tantalising light bites, indulgent sandwiches, and comfort food specialities – offers the perfect accompaniment to a theatre visit.  

Pre-Theatre Menu: £29.95 for two Courses or £39.95 for three courses, available between 5pm — 6.45pm

The Curry Room

The exquisite Curry Room at The Rubens serves an inspired menu created by Chef Arun Kumar, alongside an exceptional Thali. The team delivers an Indian restaurant experience that celebrates authentic flavours made with the finest ingredients and exclusively imported spices from India.  

Available Thursday to Monday: 5.30pm to 6.30pm, £45 per person
