Brent Cross celebrates tkts birthday

First Published 2 July 2009, Last Updated 2 July 2009

The Brent Cross shopping centre will be alive with theatrical celebration this weekend (4 & 5 July) as it marks the first birthday of its own tkts ticket booth.

Like every good birthday party, there will be presents galore as the booth, run by the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), will be giving shoppers and theatregoers the chance to win tickets to some of the West End’s most popular shows, including Hairspray, Jersey Boys, Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage, Sister Act and Avenue Q.

While the party won’t have pass the parcel or pin the tail on the donkey, there will be a chance for kids to get involved on Saturday and take part in fabulous puppet workshops with help from the furry musical Avenue Q.

The Brent Cross tkts ticket booth opened in 2008 as a sister site to the landmark Leicester Square tkts ticket booth, offering more theatregoers the chance to purchase reduced price tickets to London’s eclectic range of world-leading theatre.

In addition to the traditional on-the-day half-price tickets, the tkts ticket booths now also offer reduced price tickets up to a week in advance of performances and full price tickets for theatre, rock, pop and sporting events.

Shoppers, theatre fans and revellers eager to help tkts Brent Cross celebrate its birthday can find it in the Upper Mall opposite Marks & Spencer.
