Atherton leads Boys and Fleeshman at Apollo

First Published 2 June 2011, Last Updated 2 June 2011

West End actress Julie Atherton will perform a one-off solo concert at London’s Apollo theatre on Sunday 26 June.

The former star of Avenue Q will be singing tracks from her latest album No Space For Air as well as tunes from the shows that have shaped her musical theatre career, including Mamma Mia!, Fame, The Last 5 Years and Ordinary Days.

The concert will also feature guest appearances from Daniel Boys – with whom Atherton starred in Avenue Q and Ordinary Days – and former Legally Blonde The Musical star Richard Fleeshman, who will soon be seen as Sam in Ghost The Musical.

Composers Lance Horne and Michael Bruce will also join Atherton on stage, with Bruce accompanying the singer as she recreates her performance of his faux-fairytale tune Portrait Of A Princess, which recently made waves on YouTube.
