Come Alive! is the circus spectacular playing in London’s Earls Court. Journey into a vibrant backstage world for an immersive pre-show experience before taking your seats in the 700-seat Big Top for a spectacular show where circus meets musical theatre in this brand-new live event inspired by the 20th Century Fox Motion Picture The Greatest Showman. Come Alive! features all the hit songs by Pasek and Paul including This Is Me, Rewrite the Stars, A Million Dreams, Tightrope and The Greatest Show. The pre-show experience offers a glimpse into life behind the big top as you stumble across secret performances and meet a host of curious characters all while enjoying delicious food and drink. The Circus Spectacular will feature the finest international circus stars (Cirque de Demain Medal Winners, Cirque du Soleil) and musical theatre talent (Olivier and BAFTA nominees and award winners) from the West End. At the helm of the production is Drama Desk award winning Creative Director Simon Hammerstein. Co-founder of The Box and the mastermind behind Usher’s sold-out My Way, Las Vegas residency and producer of Queen Of The Night, Hammerstein is joined on the creative team by BAFTA winning and Olivier Award nominated composer, arranger, conductor and music producer Matthew Brind (Starlight Express, Legally Blonde, Paddington 2), Choreographer Jerry Reeve (Taylor Swift, The Queen’s Jubilee – Platinum Party At The Palace) and Lighting Director Adam Bassett who has worked with Adele, The Rolling Stones and is Emmy Award nominated for his work on the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony. Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s iconic musical, Oliver!, which he has fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne, will open in London at the Gielgud Theatre on Saturday 14 December 2024.

SSSSPOTY is back for its 18th year! Once again, the best young performers from across the UK assemble in the Sondheim Theatre for an afternoon celebrating the legendary composer-lyricist… and one of them will be crowned the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year!

The 12 student finalists will be guided through their songs by Musical Director Nigel Lilley (Follies, Company, Next to Normal, Hello, Dolly!) and heading up the panel of celebrity judges as Chair of the Jury will be writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson. Joining Edward in the judges' box will be Sondheim Society patron, Olivier winner and Tony nominee Jenna Russell (Sondheim on Sondheim, Merrily We Roll Along, Sunday in the Park with George), who will also be handing over the prizes.

To help us celebrate the work of Sondheim will be an ensemble from the National Youth Music Theatre, and songwriters from the New UK Musicals stable will provide the competitors with a recently written song to complement their Sondheim number. Look out, too, for some special guests!

When Dorothy famously triumphed over the Wicked Witch of the West, we only ever heard one side of the story. Gregory Maguire‘s acclaimed 1995 novel, ‘Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West’, re-imagines the Land of Oz, creating a parallel universe to the familiar story written by L. Frank Baum and first published as ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ in 1900.

Wicked tells the incredible story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two young women: the blonde and very popular Glinda, and a misunderstood green girl named Elphaba.
