Motown The Musical may have got the audience Dancing In The Street, but on the red carpet they stopped throwing shapes just long enough for a quick interview.

“You Really Got A Hold On Me?” they’d ask. No, we’d just like to ask you some questions… like What’s Going On.

I imagine that’s not how the conversation on the Motown The Musical red carpet actually went. No-one would shamelessly try to squeeze a huge number of Motown song titles in like that, would they? Mercy Mercy Me, I Got The Feelin’ that would lead to a Ball Of Confusion and would probably lead to that person being described as a Super Freak.

I’m not even close to exhausting the titles of songs in the hit new musical that tells the story of the rise to fame of record label Motown and its founder Berry Gordy, there are so many in the show.

Gordy was one of the stars who stopped on the red carpet to talk about the show and why bringing it to London is so special.

Watch the coverage above. If it has you wanting to Reach Out And Touch the performers, you can book tickets through us, though we’d advise against the whole touching thing. In fact, you should Stop! In The Name Of Love…

Motown The Musical is booking at the Shaftesbury Theatre until 18 February. You can book tickets through us here.
