TKTS sings for Text Santa

First Published 21 December 2012, Last Updated 8 January 2013

As offices around London began closing for Christmas, stars of the West End stage supported Text Santa by carol singing at TKTS.

Cast members from productions including Let It Be, The 39 Steps, Horrible Histories Barmy Britain, Cabaret and Lift were joined by War Horse‘s iconic star Joey to bring some Christmas joy to the London streets and encourage passers-by to give to ITV’s festive charity campaign.

Over the weekend of 21 to 23 December, TKTS donated £1 from every discount ticket bought at the Leicester Square booth to Text Santa, which is supporting six charities; Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Carers UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Together For Short Lives and Whizz-Kidz.

You can see how we kicked the fundraising weekend off in style in the pictures above. You can see video highlights on our YouTube channel.
