There will be even more moonwalking across the stage of the Lyric Theatre next year thanks to the announcement that Michael Jackson tribute concert Thriller Live has extended its booking period until 6 September 2015.

The extension means that an additional 138,000 tickets will be available for the hit show, which is now in its sixth year in the West End.

Commenting on the news, producers Paul Walden and Derek Nicol said: “We are thrilled that Thriller Live continues to be one of the longest running shows in the West End and its celebration of the music and iconic choreography of one of the world’s greatest ever artists is continuing to attract new generations of theatregoers from around the world.”

Since its premiere in 2009 more than three million tickets have now been sold for the show that brings to life the distinctive dance moves and pulsating sound of the iconic artist.

Directed and choreographed by Gary Lloyd, Thriller Live features many of the American pop star’s well-known hits including I Want You Back, I’ll Be There, Can You Feel It, Rock With You, Thriller, Beat It, ABC, Man In The Mirror, Dirty Diana and Billie Jean.

As October approaches, the musical concert is also preparing for Halloween, when the Lyric Theatre’s bars will be given a makeover in celebration of the most ghoulish day of the year and the show’s title track.
