Stage Malfoys for Potter play revealed

First Published 2 June 2016, Last Updated 2 June 2016

The final portraits of the Harry Potter And The Cursed Child characters have been released, with the nefarious Malfoys – Draco and son Scorpius – pictured for the first time.

With their wands poised for who knows what, the peroxide pair are a chilling sight for any Potter fan.

Alex Price, who takes on the role of the older Malfoy, is no stranger to fantastical tales, having recently starred in both Beowulf: Return To The Shieldlands and Penny Dreadful on TV. Boyle too has previous with magical adventures, having appeared in series four of Game Of Thrones.

The Malfoy portraits are the last of a series, taken by photographer Charlie Gray, to be released by Harry Potter And The Cursed Child as the production hurtles towards its first preview at the West End’s Palace Theatre. The production previously released images of the Potters and the Granger-Weasleys.

The tale, created by JK Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, is set 19 years after the end of the Harry Potter novels. Harry is now a worker at the Ministry of Magic and has three school-age children. Harry’s past is refusing to stay where it belongs and youngest son Albus has to deal with a family legacy he never wanted.

The production, split into two parts, begins performances in London on 7 June.
