Playhouse Disney Live! arrives in London

First Published 8 May 2008, Last Updated 8 May 2008

As part of a UK tour, audiences will be given the chance to see their favourite characters from the Disney Playhouse channel live on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo this summer.

Sing-a-long fun comes from the characters seen in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, My Friends Tigger And Pooh and Handy Manny, as well as many other performers who join them onstage.

The story follows Mickey Mouse and his impending musical party. After the Playhouse Disney Postess delivers invitations to the event at the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to all of his friends, the characters must venture into the Hundred Acre Wood and Sheetrock Hills to solve the mystery of the missing music in time to save the party.

Soon the clever friends realise they can make their own music – along with a bit of help from the audience – and everyone joins in with bricks, brooms and buckets to create their own soundtrack, before joining Disney favourites Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy for their clubhouse party.

Aimed at pre-school children, the show promises the audience an interactive experience, with upbeat music, singing and dancing.

The production has been created by Feld Entertainment which has appeared in over 50 countries with its live entertainment shows. Previous tours have included the popular Disney On Ice, and Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour.

Playhouse Disney Live! will be showing at the Hammersmith Apollo from 29 May to 1 June as part of a nationwide tour.
