New Executive Director for new year at Hampstead

First Published 17 April 2008, Last Updated 18 April 2008

Hampstead theatre will start 2008 with a new Executive Director at its helm. Rebecca Morland joins the new writing venue in January to work alongside Artistic Director Anthony Clark. Morland, who has previously worked at the Bristol Old Vic, Salisbury Playhouse and Colchester Mercury, replaces Bryan Savery, who left the position in November to pursue freelance work.

Speaking about her appointment, Morland said: “I am excited to be joining Hampstead theatre. I have admired what the theatre has achieved over the last few years, and am looking forward to contributing to its future development.”

Morland joins the theatre at an exciting time. The new year opens with two collaborations with regional theatres, The President’s Holiday, produced with the Nuffield Southampton, and 3 Sisters On Hope Street, presented with the Liverpool Everyman.
