Jersey Boys

New cast members for Jersey Boys’ fifth year

Published 5 March 2013

Edd Post and David McGranaghan will join the cast of Jersey Boys later this month, as the hit musical prepares to celebrate its fifth anniversary in the West End on 26 March.

Taking on the roles of Bob Gaudio and Nick Massi respectively from 12 March, Post and McGranaghan will join current cast members Ryan Molloy (Frankie Valli) and Jon Boydon (Tommy DeVito) in the jukebox musical that tells the remarkable true story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, the chart-topping American quartet who rose to stardom in the 1960s.

A current member of the Jersey Boys ensemble, Post has previously appeared in the West End in one-off charity concert A Spoonful Of Stiles And Drewe at Her Majesty’s theatre, as well as We Will Rock You and West Side Story on tour.

Last seen on the West End stage in 2012’s Chariots Of Fire, McGranaghan’s theatre credits include Macbeth, The Homecoming, The Taming Of The Shrew and The Merchant Of Venice for the RSC, Be Near Me at the Donmar Warehouse and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Regent’s Park Open Air theatre.

Featuring many of the band’s well known hits including Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like A Man, Bye Bye Baby, Who Loves You and Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Jersey Boys has been seen by more than four million people worldwide and will now be seen by even more in the West End as it has extended its booking period to March 2014.

As if a new booking period and cast members wasn’t celebration enough, senior citizens will also be able to see the autobiographical tale of The Four Seasons for just £27.50 thanks to the new Senior Sundays scheme launched by the show’s producers as part of its birthday celebrations.
