GILT2015 – Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels production shot

March end for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Published 18 December 2014

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels The Musical has announced it will end its West End run next March prior to heading off on a UK and international tour.

Jerry Mitchell’s glitzy musical will perform for the last time at the Savoy Theatre on 7 March, making room for the recently announced Chichester Festival Theatre transfer of the Imelda Staunton-led Gypsy.

Marking a year-long run for the hit comedy musical production, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels opened in February to rave reviews and has been seen by more than 200,000 audience members.

Olivier, Tony and BAFTA-winning Robert Lindsay will continue to lead the cast in its final months as Lawrence Jameson, the French Riviera’s chief conman who finds himself competing for the heart – and riches – of a young impressionable heiress against fellow conman Freddy Benson.

He is joined in the cast by West End veteran performer Bonnie Langford as Muriel Eubanks, a glamorous divorcee looking for love, Katherine Kingsley as the object of his desire Christine Colgate and Alex Gaumond as the comical rival conman.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels The Musical is taking part in this year’s new year ticket promotion Get Into London Theatre. Visit www.getintolondontheatre.co.uk for more information and to book tickets.
