Further casting was announced this afternoon for Everything I Ever Wanted To Tell My Daughter About Men. The new black comedy will play at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse on Thursday 20 February. Written by actor and writer Lorien Haynes and directed by Tara Fitzgerald, Everything I Ever Wanted To Tell My Daughter About Men follows one woman’s relationship history backwards. Charting her experiences through sexual assault, teenage pregnancy and addiction, the play examines the impact on her relationships in adult life.

This night of theatre is presented in associating with civil rights and women and girls charities RISE and The Circle, and all profits will go towards supporting survivors of sexual violence. Nobel-Prize nominee and founder of RISE, Amanda Nguyen, will introduce the evening. The cast includes Saffron Burrows (You, Mozart In The Jungle), Oliver Chris (One Man, Two Guvnors), Enzo Cilenti (In The Loop, Guardians Of The Galaxy), Matthew Cooke (Deliver Us From Evil), Charlie Field (Poldark), Jonathan Firth, (Middlemarch, Victoria & Albert), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter), Joe Sims (Broadchurch), Belinda Stewart-Wilson (The Inbetweeners), and Lorien Haynes who wrote the piece.

Tickets for A Doll’s House at the Playhouse Theatre went on sale this morning. Featuring the fantastic Jessica Chastain, this marks the third and final instalment of Jamie Lloyd’s residency at the Playhouse, which also includes Emilia Clarke in The Seagull and James McAvoy in Cyrano De Bergerac – lucky London pulling in all these big-screen stars!

Henrik Ibsen’s 19th-century drama is given a makeover by Irish Playwright Frank McGuinness. No word yet on when the play will be set, but it promises a radical new production and if Jamie’s two recent productions are anything to go by, it may be dragging an old classic into the modern world! Keep your eyes peeled for further casting and more details and of course, grab your tickets before they disappear!
