First look: Emma Corrin and Nabhaan Rizwan in Anna X

Anna X, a new play by Joseph Carlton opened on 10 July at the Harold Pinter Theatre as part of Sonia Friedman’s Re:Emerge Season, and we’ve got a first look at production images.

The new Re:Emerge season has created a space for vital, new voices and fresh talent in the West End and beyond, working alongside some of the industry’s greatest theatremakers and artist.

Immersed in an addictive world of front-row fashion shows, private views, and endless parties, Anna and Ariel find themselves struggling to keep up with New York’s dazzling social elite. How far will two outsiders go to construct the identities they want? And at what price?

Starring Golden Globe Award-winner Emma Corrin (Princess Diana in Netflix’s The Crown) and Royal Television Society’s 2019 Breakthrough star Nabhaan Rizwan (BBC crime drama, Informer), the play is inspired by real events and explores the searing tale of self-invention, determination, and deceit.

Julia Donaldson’s Zog and the Flying Doctors arrives on stage in 2022

Zog and his crew are flying back to the stage with a brand-new adventure in 2022! Based on the bestselling sequel by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, Zog and the Flying Doctors will premiere at Rose Theatre, Kingston from Thursday 10 – Saturday 19 February 2022 prior to a UK Tour.

Zog, super keen student turned air-ambulance, still lands with a crash-bang-thump. With his Flying Doctor crew, Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout, they tend to a sunburnt mermaid, a unicorn with one too many horns and a lion with the flu. But Pearl’s uncle, the King, has other ideas about whether princesses should be doctors, and she’s soon locked back up in the castle in a crown and a silly frilly dress! With a bit of help from her friends, will Pearl prove princesses can be doctors too?
