Linzi Hateley makes Mamma Mia return

Linzi Hateley will be a dancing queen again this summer when she re-joins long-running London stage hit Mamma Mia! as Donna Sheridan from 13 June.

In returning to the lyrca-licous show, the West End leading lady is proving herself a Super Trouper as it will be her third stint playing Donna. She previously appeared in the ABBA hit from 2007 to 2009 and in 2010.

The summer cast change at the Novello Theatre also sees Les Misérables’ Sanne Den Besten join the production as Sophie Sheridan alongside fellow newcomers Richard Carson, Dugald Bruce-Lockhart, Jemma Revell, Amy Webb, Filippo Coffano and Jake Small.

They join current cast members Mazz Murray, Jo Napthine, Richard Trinder and Alasdair Harvey.

Mamma Mia! uses the hits of Swedish pop megastars ABBA to tell the story of Sophie, who has been brought up by her mother Donna on a Greek island. As Sophie prepares for her wedding she’s eager to know who her real father is. When she invites three possible suspects, the entire trio turn up, but which one will take her down the aisle?

The hit show, which celebrated its 17th London birthday earlier this month, has now had more than 7,000 performances in the West End and has been seen by more than 10% of the UK population. A new booking period, allowing theatregoers to book tickets to March 2017, will go on sale on Friday 22 April.
