First Published 13 June 2008, Last Updated 13 June 2008

Kids Week is back! Booking for the annual free theatre tickets extravaganza opens on 15 July 2008, with an array of London’s top shows already lined up to participate in the family promotion.

Kids Week runs this year from 15 to 29 August. During that time, one child aged between five and 16 can go absolutely free to any participating show when accompanied by a full paying adult, and another two children can go for half price.

Shows already lined up to offer tickets this year include Billy Elliot, The Sound Of Music, Mamma Mia!, The Lion King, Wicked, Hairspray, Into The Hoods and Brief Encounter. Plus, especially for the under fives, The Tiger Who Came To Tea is onboard too.

In addition, the August fortnight will offer more free family fun with a host of activities and workshops for children linked to participating shows, including an improvisation skills workshop with Professor Bumm’s Story Machine and a dance workshop with Chicago.

Booking for all tickets and activities opens on 15 July. In the meantime, details of all participating shows and activities, travel details, booking information and regular Kids Week news updates can be found on www.kidsweek.co.uk.
