Double Honours for Jermyn Street

First Published 17 April 2008, Last Updated 18 April 2008

Jermyn Street presents the UK premiere of On Your Honour, a legal-based farce by Colin Wakefield and Roger Leach, from 11-29 September.

On Your Honour is set in a hotel where a group of lawyers gather for a weekend conference. Hugo desperately wants to be a High Court Judge and has organised the conference to impress the new Lord Chancellor; Nick, who also happens to be the Lord Chancellor’s son-in-law, has invited a beautiful young solicitors’ secretary along for the weekend, which threatens not only his marriage but Hugo’s plans for a successful conference – and both their reputations.

The play is produced by Double Honours Productions, which also produced Wakefield and Leach’s Audience With Murder at Jermyn Street last year. Former law lecturer Wakefield is both writer and actor, having played Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd in the West End. Australian-born actor Leach, who died in 2001, had a successful stage and television career, and was best known for playing Sergeant Penny in The Bill for six years.

Wakefield directs a cast comprising Alister Cameron, Philip Childs, Edward Fulton, Greg Gillespie, Leda Hodgson, Luciana Lawlor, Stan Pretty and Janet Rawson.
