Dick Whittington is headed to Theatre Royal Stratford East

As we prepare for this year’s panto season, Theatre Royal Stratford East is getting a jump start on 2019. Today, the Stratford-based theatre announced that next year’s festive production will be Dick Whittington.

From 23 November 2019 – 11 January 2020, you can join Dick Whittington and his cat on their epic adventure to find fame and fortune.

The cast and creative team are yet to be announced but it promises to be filled with original songs, cracking jokes, and a massive sprinkling of Christmas magic.

This year’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, will open this Saturday (1 December). It tells the story of Sleeping Beauty who has been in a deep sleep for a hundred years. But when she wakes, she finds herself in a strange city with a cruel fairy hot on her heels…
