Coutts and Bell Will Rock You

First Published 21 August 2013, Last Updated 21 August 2013

As many of its cast members prepare to rock out until April 2014 following the show’s extension, hit West End musical We Will Rock You welcomes Amanda Coutts back to the cast alongside Rolan Bell.

Coutts, who has previously played both Meat and Scaramouche in the London production, will reprise her role as the former from 7 October, following performances in a string of musicals including Fame in the West End and UK touring productions of Footloose and West Side Story.

The actress is joined in the Queen musical by EastEnders star Bell, whose London stage credits include Ragtime The Musical at the Regent’s Park Open Air theatre and The Harder They Come at the Theatre Royal Stratford East. Like his co-star, Bell is not a newcomer to the hand-clapping rock spectacular having previously played Britney, the role he will play in London, in the international touring production.

The Ben Elton-penned long-runner, which has been bringing Queen’s iconic music to the Dominion theatre since it opened in 2002, will continue to star Oliver Tompsett, Rachel Wooding, Brenda Edwards, Kevin Kennedy and Alasdair Harvey as it extends into next year.

The futuristic tale, which is set on a planet where rock music is forbidden, features some of the legendary band’s best known singles including Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody and Radio Gaga.
