Children Of Eden gets charity revival

Published 30 November 2011

Stephen Schwartz’s Bible-inspired musical is to receive a West End revival for one night only to raise money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK.

The gala performance, which will be held at the Prince of Wales theatre on 29 January, will feature a host of London theatre regulars and will be headlined by former Wicked and We Will Rock You star Kerry Ellis.

Oliver Thornton (Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical), Emma Barton (Chicago), Gareth Gates (Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Brenda Edwards (We Will Rock You) and Lauren Samuels (Grease) are also among the 75-strong cast who have lent their support to the event that aims to raise awareness of Crohn’s disease.

Originally premiered at the Prince Edward theatre in 1991, Children Of Eden is based on the story of Genesis and explores the timeless conflict between parents and children.
