Brilliant Fevered Sleep for Young Vic

Published 27 March 2013

Fevered Sleep’s enchanting children’s show Brilliant will return to the Young Vic theatre this summer, entertaining young audience members for a limited two-week run from 3 to 13 July.

Aimed at children aged three to five-years-old, Brilliant forms part of the acclaimed company’s trilogy for young audiences, which also includes food-themed fairy tale Feast Your Eyes and the watery world of And The Rain Falls Down, and explores everyday rituals as extraordinary creative events.

Performed by Laura Cubitt, who is currently appearing at the Young Vic theatre in Fevered Sleep’s Above Me The Wide Blue Sky, and David Leahy, Brilliant delves into the deep emotions, the magical imaginings and the secret games that are conjured when it’s time to go to bed.

Renowned for its playful and profound performance pieces, Fevered Sleep’s family shows introduce young children to theatre, creating a dream-like world through movement, live music and captivating imagery.

Nominated for Best Show for Children and Young People at 2008’s TMA Awards (now Theatre Awards UK), Brilliant returns to the Waterloo venue following the success of its original run.
