Big Sing at the Barbican

First Published 17 April 2008, Last Updated 21 April 2008

Ever fancied yourself as a bit of an opera singer? Now is your chance to see if you can cut it, by joining the Barbican’s Mostly Mozart Big Sing on 21 July.

Children and family members aged eight and over can visit the Barbican for a singing workshop with Jonathan Gill and Gareth Malone (recently seen on the television documentary The Choir), which culminates in performing a repertoire from Mozart’s The Magic Flute on the stage of the Barbican Hall.

Last year around 40 singers took part, joined by 12 professional singers and musicians.

The event is open to children and their families, though both children and adults must be accompanied. Tickets cost £5. To book, call 0845 120 7550
