Like a Bat Out Of Hell, it’ll be gone when the new year comes! The rocking musical has announced that it’ll be closing up shop and leaving the Dominion Theatre on 5 January 2019.

Jim Steinberg’s show features songs from the award-winning and record-breaking Bat Out Of Hell albums which were made famous by Meat Loaf. Since opening at the London Coliseum last year, the adrenaline-pumping show has completely wowed London audiences. It has now been seen by over 650,000 people.

Taking place in Obsidian – a post-apocalyptic world led by the tyrannical ruler, Falco – Bat Out Of Hell tells the story of the eternally young Strat and his wild gang – known as The Lost. While roaming the streets, Strat has a chance encounter with Raven, Falco’s daughter, which leads to a full-throttled love affair packed with youthful rebellion and rock and roll.

Later this month, Bat Out Of Hell will begin a North American Tour which opens in Toronto, Canada on 16 October 2018. The German language premiere is also set to open in Oberhasuen, Germany on 2 November 2018.

Jordan Gage plays the free-spirited Strat, taking over from the original star in the role Andrew Polec, and Christina Bennington plays Raven, with Rob Fowler as Falco and Sharon Sexton as Sloane.

During its final months of performances, there will be three special sing-a-long evenings for you to enjoy. On Wednesday 31 October, Tuesday 27 November and Monday 31 December you can check your theatre etiquette and inhibitions at the door so you can belt out all your classic rock anthems at the top of your voice without fear of tutting, head shaking or sighs from the people around you. So start swatting up on the lyrics to these timeless numbers: You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Bat Out Of Hell, I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) and Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad. Plus, the show includes two previously unreleased songs, What Part Of My Body Hurts The Most and Not Allowed To Love.
