Autumn run for Into The Hoods: Remixed

First Published 12 August 2015, Last Updated 12 August 2015

A newly revamped version of ZooNation’s Olivier Award nominated Into The Hoods will arrive at the Peacock Theatre this autumn as part of a national tour.

Into The Hoods: Remixed will play from 23 October to 14 November and once again employ ZooNation’s critically acclaimed hip hop skills to bring its brilliantly original spin on Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods to London audiences.

First seen in the West End in 2008, when it earned the show’s writer, director and choreographer Kate Prince an Olivier Award nomination, the show won public and critical praise for its eclectic soundtrack and witty storyline.

Audiences now have another chance to catch the story of two school children lost in the ‘Ruff Endz Estate’. Tasked by their landlord to find an iPod touch as white as milk, trainers as pure as gold, a hoodie as red as blood and some weave as yellow as corn, their adventure sees them meet DJ Spinderella, wannabe singer Lil Red, vivacious rapper Rap On Zel and budding music producer Jaxx.

This revamped version will include new designs, costumes and a remixed soundtrack, bringing the show bang up to date with a mix of old and new hits from artists including Jay Z, Kool + The Gang and Chemical Brothers.
