Aliens Love Underpants lands in London

First Published 30 April 2014, Last Updated 30 April 2014

A stage adaptation of Aliens Love Underpants will receive its London premiere this summer when the family show arrives at the Leicester Square Theatre on 19 July following a national tour.

Based on the bestselling picture book by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort, Aliens Love Underpants tells the story of mischievous extra-terrestrials that come to Earth on a mission to steal everyone’s underwear.

Adapted and directed by Adam Bampton-Smith, the production features a cast including Charlotte Cooper, Mark Collier, Cheryl Felgate and Harrison Spiers, whose enchanting puppetry skills bring the vibrant characters to life.

Suitable for children aged three and older, the show promises madcap action, original music and, as fans of the book would hope, lots of those hilarious aliens.

The production, which plays until 31 August, will land at the Leicester Square venue prior to Marty MacDonald’s Farm, a farmyard adventure for children aged three to seven-years-old featuring BAFTA award-winning CBeebies presenter Justin Fletcher as the voice of Pongo The Pig. You can join Pongo, Molly-Moo The Cow, Sheena The Sheep and Marty as they try to save the crops from the crafty cows for a limited run from 29 October to 2 November.

For more information and to book tickets for either production visit the Leicester Square Theatre’s website.
