Thriller Live adds more MJ hits

First Published 26 June 2015, Last Updated 26 June 2015

Thriller Live fans have reason to Smile today after the hit Michael Jackson tribute concert announced it will be making some exciting new musical additions to the much-loved show.

Thankfully none of the production’s current hits have had to Beat It to allow for the alterations, but four new MJ tunes – Who’s Loving You, Rockin’ Robin, Remember The Time and Human Nature – will be added to the show’s opening in October, giving audiences the chance to hear even more of the legendary artist’s greatest hits in the concert spectacular.

Talking about the new additions, which will be accompanied by new videos and special effects, the show’s director Gary Lloyd said: “This is a really, really exciting time. Unlike all other West End musicals, Thriller Live’s music, choreography and costumes have been changed several times, but over the next few months we will be making a host of changes at once.

“When Thriller Live first opened in the West End at the Lyric Theatre in January 2009, it was definitely cutting edge. We have since refreshed the show several times but now it is getting enhanced production values to ensure our show is really eye-popping!”

Now in its seventh year in the West End, Thriller Live features a cast of more than 20 performers – including current stars Cleopatra Higgins, David Jordan and Britt Quentin – who bring the distinctive dancing and unforgettable sound of the pop icon to life on stage.

The quartet of newly announced songs will join an array of Jackson hits – including I Want You Back, I’ll Be There, Show You The Way To Go, Can You Feel It, Rock With You, ABC, Man In The Mirror, Dirty Diana, Billie Jean and Earth Song – to help showcase the moonwalking legend’s incredible career, from his early hits with The Jackson 5 to his staggering solo success.

Thriller Live is taking part in this year’s Kids Week, our annual initiative offering a free child’s ticket for every full priced ticket purchased for performances in August. You can book tickets for the kids go free offer through the Kids Week website.
