As army man Major Metcalfe rightly says in this latest in our series of The Mousetrap Interviews with Angellica Bell, a little break in the remote Monkswell Manor is just what he needs to relax before the hectic festivities of Christmas. A bit of downtime with nothing more to worry about than the unusual contents of his dinnertime pies or the fact that he seems to be wearing a jacket that matches that of his interviewer.
Unfortunately for him, we know better. The fact that he’s a character in theatre’s most famous whodunit and longest running stage drama in the world suggests he’s in for a shock in the not too distant future.
