Park Theatre welcomes families to The Quiet House

First Published 29 June 2016, Last Updated 27 July 2016

The Park Theatre has announced details of its first ever parent/carer and baby performance, inviting guardians with young children to attend new, family-centred drama The Quiet House.

A special performance of Gareth Farr’s hilarious and heart-breaking show, exploring one couple’s desire to start a family and the fight they undertake to do so, will take place on Tuesday 5 July at 11:00, with tickets costing £10 and babes in arms offered free entry.

Attendees are invited to enter and leave the auditorium as needed to make use of the Park Theatre’s fully accessible facilities, which include baby changing and feeding areas, a buggy parking space and a microwave. The actors will also be aware that there may be additional noise in the auditorium.

Of the initiative, producer Gabby Vautier said “I’m thrilled that we are working with Park Theatre to make sure parents with young babies have the opportunity to catch this brilliant play about starting a family. It couldn’t be more apt.”

Telling the story of young couple Jess and Dylan, The Quiet House follows the would-be parents on a journey through the world of IVF as they put their faith in science and, subsequently, their relationship through the ultimate test.

Tickets are available for the one-off performance via the venue’s website
