Panto cancels Arts season

Puss In Boots, which was due to play at London’s Arts theatre this festive season, has been forced to cancel its run due to the ongoing dispute between the venue’s tenants and landlords.

Brasrat Ltd’s agreement as tenants of the Arts theatre will expire on 13 December, in the middle of the pantomime’s anticipated run, after they were served notice in mid-September. With a settlement between the two parties unlikely, the show’s producers, Tiny Tim Productions, have taken the decision to cancel the production.

Puss In Boots was to be the second seasonal show to be staged by Tiny Tim Productions at the Arts theatre following last year’s production of A Christmas Carol. Former EastEnders actress Kacey Ainsworth and Any Dream Will Do contestant Ben James Ellis had been due to lead the cast, which also included David Anthony, Selina Chilton, Alice Fearn, Arvid Larsen and Sebastien Torkia.

Theatregoers who had already purchased tickets for Puss In Boots are advised to contact the theatre’s box office on 020 7907 7092 to arrange a refund.
