Opening Night: Annie

First Published 6 June 2017, Last Updated 6 June 2017

We popped along to the Piccadilly for the red carpet premiere of Annie, which stars Miranda Hart as Miss Hannigan, and spoke to casts, creatives and glamorous guests.

It’s a classic family musical with a much-loved score, including the ear-worming songs It’s A Hard Knock Life, Tomorrow and Easy Street, so we set out to discover the attendees’ favourite songs.

Set in 1930s New York during The Great Depression, brave young Annie is forced to live a life of misery and torment at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. Her luck changes when she is chosen to spend Christmas at the residence of famous billionaire, Oliver Warbucks. Meanwhile, spiteful Miss Hannigan has other ideas and hatches a plan to spoil Annie’s search for her true family…

Marking Hart’s West End debut, and with direction from Nikolai Foster, Annie will charm and delight audiences of all ages.

Don’t delay until Tomorrow – book your tickets today!
