Old Vic’s Jekyll And Hyde reveals cast

Published 22 February 2016

Daniel Collins, Tim Hodges and Rachel Muldoon will lead the cast of The Old Vic’s forthcoming radical dance retelling of the legendary story Jekyll And Hyde.

Collins will star as Dr Jekyll in rising star choreographer and director Drew McOnie’s take on Robert Louis Stevenson’s terrifying thriller, which tells the story of the iconic respectable doctor and his murderous alter ego Mr Hyde, played by Hodges.

The pair are no strangers to appearing in dance makeovers of classic stories, with both working extensively for Matthew Bourne’s acclaimed New Adventures company. Alongside shared credits for the company including Edward Scissorhands and The Car Man, Collins was recently seen in Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre’s soon-to-transfer Show Boat and Hodges boasts West End credits including Singin’ In The Rain, Chicago and We Will Rock You.

Muldoon, who plays Dahlia and has appeared in Wicked and Grease in the West End, Collins and Hodges will all make their Old Vic debuts in the production.

Completing the company of the much anticipated production are Ashley Andrews, Joao Carolino, Carrie Taylor Johnson, Anabel Kutay, Ebony Molina, Freya Rowley, Alexzandra Sarmiento, Barnaby Thompson and Jason Winter.

Jekyll And Hyde plays at The Old Vic from 20 May to 28 May following the current run of the Ralph Fiennes-led The Master Builder.
