West End LIVE 2019 is nearly upon us!

This year’s line-up is a great mix of classic favourites (warm up your vocals now for the Les Mis and Wicked sections in particular!), and brand new shows, some of which aren’t even in the West End yet!

So get fully prepared for West End LIVE and meet some of the shows who are making their West End LIVE debuts in a few weeks’ time!

& Juliet

And Juliet musical tickets at the Shaftesbury Theatre

Think you know the story of Romeo and Juliet? Think again! The new musical, & Juliet, is the alternative story of Juliet, where she decides to move on from Romeo and heads off to Paris with Nurse and her friends instead.

The show has some familiar West End faces in its cast (some of which have performed at West End LIVE before in their previous shows!), including Miriam-Teak Lee (Hamilton), Cassidy Janson (Beautiful), Oliver Tompsett (Kinky Boots) and Jordan Luke Gage (Bat Out Of Hell).

This upcoming musical will feature iconic pop hits from stars like Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry.

Question is…which one will the cast choose to sing at West End LIVE? There’s only one way to find out…

9 To 5 The Musical

Pour yourself a cup of ambition and get yourself down to Trafalgar Square to catch the cast of 9 To 5 The Musical at their first ever West End LIVE.

Based on the iconic film about three workmates trying to get revenge on their mean, sexist boss, and featuring instant ear-worm songs by Dolly Parton, this is sure to provide a memorable sing-a-long moment on the day!

BalletBoyz

You won’t just see incredible singing performances at West End LIVE, as we’ve also invited some dance productions onto the stage this year.

Making their dancing debut on the West End LIVE stage is BalletBoyz. They’ve certainly been busy ballet boys too, as they’ve just finished a UK tour and are about to transfer into the Vaudeville Theatre with their new show, Them/Us.

Get a sneak peek at what their show has in store, and watch these incredible performers make you realise how bad at dancing you really are.

Brainiac Live

Brainiac Live comes to the West End's Garrick Theatre

Giving you an exclusive look at their new show a whole week before they start performances at the Garrick Theatre, are the Brainiac Live team.

Showcasing how outrageous, exciting and explosive science can be, we can’t wait to see what this performance has in store! We’ve got our safety goggles at the ready!

Come From Away

If you come down to West End LIVE this year, you’ll become an islander thanks to the cast of Come From Away.

The show tells the remarkable true story of the 7,000 air passengers who were grounded in Canada after 9/11, and the Gander community who opened up their homes, community centres and schools to take care of them.

Arriving in the West End back in January, Come From Away went onto win four Olivier awards this year, including Best New Musical. Given their huge success this year, it would have been rude (and not very Gander-like!) not to ask them to come along and perform!

Fiddler On The Roof

Fiddler On The Roof at the Playhouse Theatre

To Life – L’chaim! Fiddler On The Roof has been a runaway hit ever since it first arrived at the Menier Chocolate Factory last year. Now transferred to the West End’s Playhouse Theatre until 28 September, it’s been a VERY long wait to see this show at West End LIVE, as the show hasn’t been in London since 2007!

We hope we won’t have to wait that long again to see this classic show return.

Heartbeat Of Home

Heartbeat Of Home tickets at the Piccadilly Theatre

Prepare to do some serious imitation dancing, as the producers of Riverdance bring an extract of their new show, Heartbeat Of Home, to the West End LIVE stage.

The show takes inspiration from cultures across the globe, and promises audiences a dance and music extravaganza (not that we would expect anything less!). Prepare for dance moves inspired by Irish, Latin, Hip-Hop, Afro-Cuban and Contemporary dance!

Magic Mike Live

Making their West End LIVE debut is the cast of Magic Mike Live.  We’re keeping the details of their performance a closely guarded secret for now, so you’ll need to come on down to Trafalgar Square on West End LIVE weekend to see it for yourselves.

On Your Feet!

On Your Feet! at the London Coliseum

Not only the name of the show, but also a description of what you’ll be doing when they’re performing! The cast of On Your Feet! would have only been in the West End just over a week when they hit our stage, and we’re already excited to see what they’ve got in store!

Telling the story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan with some of their biggest hits, the question is, what classic hit will they be performing on the day?…

Only Fools And Horses The Musical

Ryan Hutton, Tom Bennett and Paul Whitehouse in Only Fools And Horses The Musical

Stick a pony in their pocket and they’ll fetch the suitcase from the van, it’s the cast of Only Fools And Horses, who’ll be bringing their dodgy dealings and cushty tunes to West End LIVE for the first time.

Bringing the well-loved characters from the popular TV to life on stage, we’re excited about having a proper knees-up with their performance! You’d be a complete plonker to miss this one!

The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾ – The Musical

The West End cast of The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole - The Musical!

His secret is out! The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾ – The Musical is going to be at West End LIVE.

Fans of the classic Sue Townsend book (and it sold over 20 million copies, so there are a lot of you!), will be happy to hear that the usually introverted Adrian Mole and his friends are putting their diaries aside for a few minutes and taking to the stage this year.

Another show that would have only been performing for a few days when West End LIVE comes around (they open on 15 June), this is a great chance to get a sneak peek at a brand-new show.

The View Upstairs

The View Upstairs at the Soho Theatre

This brand-new show doesn’t start its West End run at the Soho Theatre until 18 July, so this will be an exclusive sneak peek for West End LIVE attendees.

This critically acclaimed musical shares the tragic story of one of the worst attacks on the LGBTQ+ community during the 1970s, when an arson attack targeted a gay bar in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Told through a present-day story of a young fashion designer who doesn’t realise his newly bought abandoned space is the bar that was attacked, this moving musical will take you on an exhilarating journey of seduction and self-exploration, celebrating the lives of those forgotten.

As Jenna herself says, it’s amazing what baking can do (oooo oooo), and we’ve baked up a special performance from the Waitress cast.

Expect sugar, butter, flour and a delicious performance from this truly tasty show!

The Worst Witch

The Worst Witch at the Vaudeville Theatre

Watch out for flying broomsticks and prepare your wands, because Elphaba won’t be the only witch performing this year.

The Worst Witch will be adding some magic of her own to West End LIVE, and giving you an early peek at her new show, which opens on the 24 July at the Vaudeville Theatre.

Whether you’re a wannabe witch who dreams of attending Miss Cackle’s Academy for Witches or just wish you knew some magic spells, you won’t want to miss this debut performance!

Yummy

A cabaret show like you’ve never seen before, the Yummy cast are performing in London for the very first time in June, so we definitely wanted them to perform at West End LIVE!

This fabulous and award-winning group have been touring the world with their latest show, and are known for being outrageous, joyful, and innovative with their new style of cabaret. We can’t wait!

And that’s just the new shows we’ve announced so far! Keep an eye on West End LIVE’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for further announcements!
