Mathew Horne joins the cast of The Miser

Full casting has today been announced for the incoming production of The Miser, playing at the Garrick Theatre which previews from 1 March.

Joining the previously announced Griff Rhys Jones and Lee Mack is actor Mathew Horne, star of television comedies Gavin & Stacey, The Catherine Tate Show, Are You Being Served and Nan. His stage work includes Pride at the Trafalgar Studios, Charley’s Aunt at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Entertaining Mr Sloane at Trafalgar Studios.

This major West End revival of Moliere’s classic comedy has been newly adapted by Sean Foley and Phil Porter and will be presented at Bath Theatre Royal and Richmond Theatre before opening at the Garrick. The cast is led by two-time Olivier Award winner Griff Rhys Jones and comedian Lee Mack.

Director Sean Foley is co-founder of The Right Size, creating over 10 original theatre comedies including the Olivier Award-winning and Tony-nominated production of The Play What I Wrote (Best Comedy 2002), Do You Come Here Often? (Best Entertainment 1999) and Ducktastic! (Best Entertainment nomination 2006).

Also announced today are Saikat Ahamed, Ryan Gage, Simon Holmes, Andi Osho, Michael Webber, Ellie White and Katy Wix.
