& Juliet to perform on Strictly Come Dancing next month

Published 25 November 2020

On Sunday 6 December, you can tune into performances from the Olivier Award-winning musical, & Juliet on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing the results show.

Featuring the songs of Max Martin and a book by David West Read (the writer of Netflix’s Schitt’s Creek), & Juliet is a timely yet timeless tale of a young independent woman.

Shakespeare’s famous ending is just the beginning of this riotous, new, pop-hit-fuelled musical told through some of pop’s most famous songs, including hits from Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry.

With an all-star West End cast led by former Hamilton star Miriam-Teak Lee – accompanied by theatre favourites Cassidy Janson (Beautiful), Oliver Tompsett (Kinky Boots), Arun Blair-Mangat (Angels In America), Melanie La Barrie (Wicked), Jordan Luke Gage (Bat Out Of Hell) and Tim Mahendran (Spring Awakening) – you’ll soon be joining & Juliet in forgetting all about Romeo.

Following a short run at Manchester Opera House in September-October 2019, & Juliet transferred to the West End to play in London at the Shaftesbury Theatre and is planning to continue its run next year pending Government guidance.

The new jukebox musical & Juliet is brought to life by an award-winning creative team. Alongside director Luke Sheppard, who directed the Olivier Award-nominated In The Heights, the team includes the likes of choreographer Jennifer Weber, set designer Soutra Gilmour and costume designer Paloma Young.

Tune in next month to catch some showstopping performances from this three-time Olivier Award-winning production.
