Hattie Morahan stars in Bush’s RADAR Festival

Tim Crouch, Paul Hunter and Hattie Morahan will take it in turns to star in Nassim Soleimanpour’s solo show Blank as part of the Bush Theatre’s upcoming RADAR Festival.

The UK premiere of the play will see each of the performers read a sealed script on consecutive nights from 19 to 21 November.

Actor, writer and director Crouch, whose play An Oak Tree recently played at the National Theatre, will kick off proceedings on 19 November. He’ll be followed by Told By And Idiot’s Artistic Director Hunter, who was last seen on the London stage in My Perfect Mind at the Young Vic, on 20 November, with Olivier Award nominated star Morahan (A Doll’s House, Young Vic and West End) rounding the trio of performances off on 21 November.

The venue’s annual festival of new writing will take place from 11 to 26 November and sees a double bill performed on each of its nights. Alongside Iranian playwright Soleimanpour, other artists presenting work will include newcomers Rachael Ofori and Ben Duke, and returning writers Steve Waters and Antler.

Billed as “an annual snapshot of the very best of contemporary new writing”, the RADAR Festival offers a testing ground for new works while embracing a wide range of voices, styles and experiences.

As in previous years RADAR Connect, a series of practical workshops for postgraduate students, will fun alongside the festival.
