Globe presents relaxed performance

Published 11 March 2013

Shakespeare’s Globe will present a relaxed performance of Shakespeare’s romantic tragedy Romeo And Juliet this weekend.

Telling the Bard’s well-known story of two star-crossed lovers, the specially adapted 90-minute production has been created specifically for young people and will take place on 16 March at the South Bank venue.

Designed for people with autistic spectrum conditions, sensory and communication disorders, or learning disabilities, relaxed performances aim to reduce anxiety and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for those who are anxious about experiencing live theatre.

Tickets for the performance, which is presented as part of the Relaxed Performance Project, a scheme supported by the Society of London Theatre and The Prince’s Foundation for Children & The Arts, are free and details of how to book can be found here.
