Gallery: Cinderella opening night

Published 15 December 2016

When seasonal pantomime returns to the London Palladium for the first time in nearly 30 years, and that pantomime is the most enchanting rags-to-riches tale of them all, the celebrations need to be suitably spectacular.

So a slap-up red carpet affair, graced by the glittering stardust of the likes of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cliff Richard, Gaby Roslin, Steve McFadden, Paul Merton, Des O’Connor, Tamsin Oathwaite, Adam Woodyatt, Christopher Biggins, Honey G and the kids cast from School Of Rock The Musical, was truly befitting of the lavish occasion.

The cast is led by Paul O’Grady (Baroness Hardup), Julian Clary (Dandini), Amanda Holden (The Fairy Godmother), Lee Mead (Prince Charming), Paul Zerdin (Buttons), Nigel Havers (Lord Chamberlain), Count Arthur Strong (Baron Hardup), Natasha J Barnes (Cinderella) and Suzie Chard and Wendy Somerville (The Wicked Stepsisters), and the cast took the chance to celebrate with their equally glamorous guests on an evening to remember.

With beautiful costumes, incredible scenery and some truly breath-taking moments, the production truly delivered on its promise of a glittering family extravaganza.

Qdos Entertainment’s production of Cinderella opened last night, Wednesday 14 December 2016, and runs over the Festive season, until Sunday 15 January 2017.
