First look: Speed-The-Plow

First Published 30 September 2014, Last Updated 1 October 2014

The news that Hollywood starlet and tabloid favourite Lindsay Lohan would be making her West End debut broke exactly 96 days ago – yes, we counted – but the resulting anticipation, newspaper inches and preview speculation has made it feel more like years.

Finally, however, this week will see the Lindsay Posner-directed show officially open and we can’t wait. Which is why we are offering you a sneak preview of what audiences have in store with a first look at photos from the production in which Lohan is joined by another well-known American performer, The West Wing’s Richard Schiff.

Set in a world that the pair both know well, David Mamet’s Speed-The-Plow takes a satirical look at the fickle world of the movie business, with Lohan playing a manipulative secretary, and Schiff and their co-star, British actor Nigel Lindsay, as two long-time associates.

The dark – and, looking at the photos above, stylish – comedy opens at the Playhouse Theatre on Thursday, but you can get your hands on tickets before the reviews come out by booking through us now.
