Cast returns for Theatre503 transfer

A quintet of performers from the Theatre503’s acclaimed 2013 production of Land Of Our Fathers will return to the show when it transfers to the Trafalgar Studio 2 next month.

Clive Merrison, Kyle Rees, Patrick Brennan, Taylor Jay-Davies and Joshua Price will recreate their performances as Welsh miners trapped underground in 1979, being joined in the West End by cast newcomer Robert East.

The show, by emerging playwright and Royal Court Young Writers Programme graduate Chris Urch, follows two weeks of the miners’ lives, as everything they believe in is challenged.

Land Of Our Fathers begins its run at the Trafalgar Studios 2 on 3 September following another Theatre503 transfer, A Handful Of Stars, starring former Boyzone singer Keith Duffy, which end its run later this week. It runs alongside the current Trafalgar Transformed production of Richard III, starring Sherlock’s Martin Freeman, which plays in the larger Trafalgar Studio 1.
