Cast announced for Hetty Feather

First Published 16 June 2015, Last Updated 16 June 2015

Matt Costain, Sarah Goddard and Nikki Warwick will reprise their roles in the West End return of the Olivier Award nominated hit Hetty Feather this summer.

The trio will join the previously announced Phoebe Thomas, who once again takes on the title role of the fiery, red-headed heroine as the family favourite swings back into the West End at the Duke of York’s Theatre from 6 August.

Warwick, who plays Madame Adeline in Jacqueline Wilson’s popular story of a brave Victorian girl’s adventure-packed journey in search of a family, will no doubt be aiding the circus-themed show’s swinging arrival given her extensive experience working in aerial circus, cabaret and physical theatre.

Her co-stars RSC regular Costain and Goddard have more conventional backgrounds, boasting London credits in War Horse and the Orange Tree Theatre’s The Taming Of The Shrew respectively.

Directed by Sally Cookson, the critically acclaimed show premiered at the Rose Theatre Kingston last year before heading to the West End where it received its prestigious nomination in this year’s Best Entertainment & Family Olivier Awards category.

As the show prepares to entertain family audiences throughout the summer, it has picked up a few new faces to join its ranks. Mark Kane, who was last seen on the London stage in 2014’s The Merchant Of Venice at Shakespeare’s Globe, will take on the role of Gideon, while musicians Seamus H Carey and Luke Potter complete the company to provide the show’s all-important score.

Hetty Feather will play daytime performances at the Duke of York’s Theatre until 6 September. The show is just one of many London productions taking part in our kids go free campaign, Kids Week. You can buy tickets for performances during August through the ticket promotion here.
