Sir Bruce Forsythe will return to the London Palladium stage to host An Evening With Liza Minnelli later this summer.

The former Strictly Come Dancing host, one of Britain’s favourite entertainers, will return to his old stomping ground to grill the musical theatre icon for the one-off event on 20 September.

Speaking about the announcement, Forsythe, who formerly hosted Sunday Night At The London Palladium, said: “I am absolutely delighted to be spending an evening in the company of one of the truly great entertainers of our age, someone I am also lucky to know as a dear friend. I am looking forward to guiding her on a trip down memory lane on the stage of the greatest theatre in the world, the London Palladium, where both of us have been lucky enough to perform many times over the years. She’s got some great stories to tell and I’m sure it’s going to be a truly unforgettable evening.”

Multi award winner Minnelli, whose collection of silverware includes Tonys, Golden Globes, an Oscar, a Grammy, an Emmy and a BAFTA, rose to international stardom as Cabaret’s Sally Bowles, a performance that can genuinely be described as iconic.

The star, currently in her sixth decade of performing, follows in  the footsteps of Hollywood movie stars Sylvester Stalone, Al Pacino, John Travolta and Arnold Schwarzenegger, in taking to the West End stage for an evening of chat in front of their British fans.
