Brown makes Infamous London return

First Published 5 September 2013, Last Updated 5 September 2013

After baffling brains at the Palace theatre this summer, Derren Brown will return to London to reprise his critically acclaimed show Infamous for three nights only, mystifying minds at the Hammersmith Apollo from 25 July.

The Olivier Award winner’s sixth stage show, Infamous sees Brown reunite with his close collaborator, actor, director and magician Andy Nyman and has been described by the pair as one of the psychological illusionist’s most personal works to date.

A hit with audiences and critics alike, the production, which received its London premiere in July, was described by The Guardian’s Michael Billington as “a mix of traditional magic, mind-reading and memory games with the flair of a natural showman.”

Talking about his excitement at the show’s return, Brown said: “After six months of touring a much more personal show – quite a ‘brave’ move away from the template of previous shows – it’s been hugely rewarding to repeatedly hear audience members and critics say it’s the best show yet. I can’t wait to get it up and running again.”

Playing at the Hammersmith Apollo until 27 July, Infamous follows the success of Brown’s previous stage shows, which have included the Olivier Award-winning Something Wicked This Way Comes and Svengali.
