Set in fictional Poland Ubu Roi tells the story of Ma and Pa Ubu who violently take over the kingdom, become dictators and unleash a reign of mayhem on society.
The irreverent nature of the play and the barbed satire beneath the silliness meant that Ubu Roi caused something of a storm when it first appeared in Paris in 1896.

Unlike film, theatre doesn't have an official age classification organisation. That means all age recommendations are subjective and should be treated as guidelines unless otherwise stated. With this in mind, we ask you to use your judgement in regards to a show’s suitability prior to purchase. However, we are more than happy to help you make a decision.
