A fresh, raw and energetic performance of one of Shakespeare’s earliest comedies tells a tale of friendship, love and betrayal.

Best friends Valentine and Proteus travel to Milan and find themselves caught in a love triangle with the daughter of the Duke. Proteus’s beloved from home follows him to Milan disguised as a boy, only to discover she has been betrayed…

The performers use their bodies to create a continually changing tableau that forms a playful backdrop to the drama. Traditional Brazilian song punctuates the production, supported by a trio of onstage musicians.

Performed in Portugese with English surtitles.
