Marti Webb stars in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical about an English girl in New York, Tell Me On A Sunday.

The musical tale follows her as, overflowing with excitement and optimism she embarks on a journey to find success, friendship and love in a new city. As he navigates the sprawling metropolis, and her own fears and frustrations, she starts to wonder whether she’s been searching in entirely the wrong places.

Webb originally performed in Tell Me On A Sunday when Lloyd Webber debuted it at the 1979 Sydmonton Festival. The piece was subsequently recorded as an album and a TV special before becoming one half of stage show Song And Dance.

Among its memorably numbers are the title song and Take That Look Off Your Face, which reached Number 2 in the charts when released as a single.

At the Duchess Theatre, Tell Me On A Sunday will be supported with a sneak preview of songs from upcoming shows Bonnie And Clyde and Urinetown The Musical, and current West End hit Once.
