Chaucer confidently introduces five of his characters to the audience, but it is the turn of Alison, the Wife of Bath, to tell a tale. Its simple message about how to conduct successful human relationships is as relevant now as it was 600 years ago. The biting humour of Nick Revell’s script combines with Scarlet Theatre’s bold theatricality to expose the inner workings of Chaucer’s imagination and provides a new look at our need for a good story.

Unlike film, theatre doesn't have an official age classification organisation. That means all age recommendations are subjective and should be treated as guidelines unless otherwise stated. With this in mind, we ask you to use your judgement in regards to a show’s suitability prior to purchase. However, we are more than happy to help you make a decision.
